Appointments

We are aiming to ensure that routine appointments have no more than 2 working days wait. If your condition is urgent, please inform the Reception Staff and we will see you that same day. Patients seen urgently cannot be guaranteed the time or doctor of their choice. An urgent condition is one that cannot be reasonably expected to wait until the next routine appointment. Only one patient per appointment, please.

NURSE APPOINTMENTS

When booking an appointment for the Nursing team please ensure you make the correct number of consecutive appointments.

Sister Gledden / Nurse Wright

• Diabetic 3 appointments

• Family planning 2 appointments

• COPD 3 appointments

• Smear 2 appointments

• Asthma 2 appointments

• Injections 1 appointment

• Heart disease 2 appointments
  HCA Edie

• BP + Bloods 2 appointments

• BP only 1 appointment

• Bloods only 1 appointment

Cancellation

Please ensure that you cancel any appointments that you no longer require. Each week approximately 50 patients do not turn up for their appointments resulting in all others having to wait longer for appointments. Patients who repeatedly fail to attend appointments will be asked to find another Doctor.

Telephone Advice

When phoning to talk to a Doctor please bear in mind the surgery times. The receptionists have been instructed not to interrupt a surgery except for emergencies.
