Bowel Cancer

If you’ve had blood in your poo or looser poo for 3 weeks, your doctor wants to know.

Chances are it’s nothing to worry about, but these symptoms could be signs of bowel cancer, so tell your doctor. Finding bowel cancer early makes it more treatable and could save your life.

Baby clinics

Walk-in baby clinics on Tuesday mornings were created because the health visitor was based in the practice at that time and the HV could then see babies and parents when they brought their babies in to see nurses or doctors.

The health visitors are no longer based in GP practices and we have therefore decided to see babies, for vaccinations and checks, more flexibly, in our normal surgeries. The last walk-in baby clinic will be on Tuesday 24th April 2012.

Please see the new Patient Participation Group tab on the right hand side of our home page.

We encourage our patients to join this group and hopefully regularly give us their views and contribute to the practice's future policies.

The contents of this part of the website will be developed as patient participation grows.

Hartlepool NHS Walk-in Centre has now moved to the One Life Centre from its old premises in Victoria Road.

X-ray and ultrasound facilities are now available at One Life Centre and the Hartlepool NHS Walk-in Centre and Minor Injuries Unit are also on site.
